At Mary’s Center, we are privileged to have such talented and committed employees, whose hard work enables us to serve nearly 60,000 participants a year. We are incredibly grateful to so many within our Mary’s Center family who not only put their heart and soul into their work but also choose to advance Mary’s Center’s mission by making financial contributions.

Meet Emilio Robinson, Director of Environmental Services and Mary’s Center employee since 2015.

Emilio’s spirit of giving started when he was a young boy growing up with a mother who stressed the importance of giving back. His mother was a loving person who “instituted the principle of giving to all of her kids.” Emilio, reflecting on his mother’s kindness and generosity, said that “she took every opportunity to support her neighbors and their families, always being the first to offer help.” Having his mother as a role model left an impact and inspired his future charitable giving.

He recalls his mother’s words – “you never know, one day it could be you.” Emilio has carried that sentiment throughout his life. “My mother taught me from an early age it is always better to give than to receive.” For Emilio, making a monthly contribution to Mary’s Center is his way of honoring his mother’s legacy. Emilio is humbled to be able to share with others who are less fortunate than him. “I believe that when you give from your heart it will come 100% back to you. It is a good thing to help wherever the need is,” Emilio said.

Like his mother, Emilio embraces the opportunities to help his fellow neighbors. “Supporting this great, diverse organization is a blessing,” he said. His support demonstrates that there is always room in your heart to care for others and give back, in whatever way you can. 

Mary’s Center is appreciative of the incredible dedication Emilio has for the organization, which he not only exemplifies through his hard work each and every day, but also through his generous monthly contributions. Emilio is equally as grateful for Mary’s Center, sharing that “Mary’s Center is where the love for people is at the center of what we do. It is an honor and a privilege to be a cheerful giver, and to share the love of God for the people we help.”
