As a virtual volunteer opportunity, you and a group of friends, colleagues or classmates can write and/or create Valentine’s Day cards for the Seniors in that participate in programming at Mary’s Center’s two Senior Wellness Centers located in Washington, D.C. Please read the attached instructions on how to write these important, uplifting cards! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and your gift of time through volunteering.
Holiday Drives
Every year, Mary’s Center has two end-of-year holiday events to support our families who might need a little more help around the holidays. Our Thanksgiving Food Drive ensures that hundreds of families receive a warm Thanksgiving meal, and our Holiday Toy Drive allows us to distribute over 1,000 toys to kids who need them! Click here to learn more about how you can donate and support.
The Eat Well, Live Better! Program provides access to healthy supplements for DC residents who are 60+ years old with a chronic illness. Be a part of the holistic approach to nutrition by providing direct service by calling participants to complete health and wellness intakes.
Mary’s Center accepts gently worn clothing, shoes, baby clothes, books, and winter coats/items to give to our participants. We have a continuous and bountiful stream of donations through our generous donors. Volunteers are needed to help us sort through and organize donations to ensure that our participants have the best to choose from. This task is best for volunteers with weekday availability.
Share and shop from our Amazon Charity List or organize a donation drive with your family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors! Email Lauren Shutler at lshutler@maryscenter.org to set up your drive.
