For more than three decades, Mary’s Center has been a trusted provider of high-quality, culturally responsive healthcare and social services for those who need it most. Founded in 1988, we have grown from a small prenatal clinic serving 200 patients to a full-service community health center that reaches more than 65,000 individuals each year across five clinics.
Today’s Reality: A Wave of Uncertainty
Across DC and Maryland, a wave of federal and local policy changes is reducing access to healthcare for thousands of low-income adults and uninsured families. Shifts in Medicaid funding and new restrictions on the use of federal dollars are limiting how community health centers can serve those most in need.
Caring for Our Uninsured Communities
In this evolving funding environment, low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals are at the greatest risk of being left without access to care. At Mary’s Center, we believe healthcare is a right, not a privilege—and we are committed to ensuring no one is left behind.
To meet this urgent need, we have established the Compassionate Care Fund, an action-oriented initiative designed to fill critical gaps in access. The fund supports medical care, behavioral health services, pharmacy needs, and wraparound support for participants with limited or no insurance.
Your Gift. Their Lifeline.
We invite you to stand with Mary’s Center as a champion for equity, access, and compassionate care.
A gift to the Compassionate Care Fund provides immediate, life-changing support to individuals and families, navigating uncertainty. Together, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of circumstance, has a place to turn.
