Michele McCullom

Michele McCullom is the General Counsel and Secretary at Student Freedom Initiative (SFI), a non-profit organization. She is responsible for protecting the legal interest of the organization, advising management on legal matters, as well as ethics and compliance and the corporate secretarial function.

Michele has more than 15 years of experience in both Legal and Human Resources realms. Recent career highlights include playing a key role on cross-functional teams to complete M&A transactions, including restructuring subsidiaries, engaging in due diligence, negotiating investment terms, collaborating on commercial, purchase, and sales agreements, drafting closing documents, and completing premerger antitrust filings.  Prior to joining SFI, Michele served as an Associate General Counsel at NAACP where she was responsible for corporate transactions, corporate governance, and litigation authorization and oversight.  As Assistant General Counsel at a fortune 500 company she negotiated and drafted commercial and corporate transactions on a global scale, as well as provided legal expertise to support global projects and complex transactions in United States, Canada, Mexico, China, India, Brazil, and Europe. Michele holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a J.D. from Howard University School of Law.
