Who does Mary’s Center serve?
As a Community Health Center, Mary’s Center serves people of all ages, races, genders, and sexual orientations. We accept all major private insurances as well as Medicaid and Medicare and we provide the highest quality of care regardless of someone’s ability to pay.

How do I make an appointment?
You can make an appointment by calling (844) 796-2797 or by requesting one online. Our operators and online appointment system are available 24/7.
We offer same day appointments on a first-come, first-serve basis. We encourage all participants to call before walking into the clinic.
What type of health insurance does Mary's Center take?
Mary’s Center accepts the majority of health insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. To see a list of insurances we accept, visit our Insurance and Fees page.
What if I don't have insurance?
We use a sliding fee scale to determine how much uninsured participants will pay through a payment plan. We encourage all patients without private insurance to apply for Medicaid, D.C. Healthcare Alliance (health insurance plan for D.C. residents who do not qualify for Medicaid), and other local county programs in Maryland.
To apply for health insurance, come to one of our clinic locations and sign up for an appointment with an insurance representative who will help you fill out the form.
To apply for Medicaid, you can come to any of our clinic locations to see one of our Public Benefits Specialists, who will help you fill out the form. You will need to bring a proof of address (e.g. – a utility or phone bill), proof of income, and a photo ID.

Can I come to one of your D.C. sites if I live in Maryland?
We prefer that you visit one of the sites that is located in the state in which you live. That will make it easier for us to help you with resources that are available to you as a resident of that state.
Do I need to be a patient to receive social services or attend English classes?
No. You and your children can enroll in our family literacy and/or social services programs even if you are not a patient. Please call 202-797-7337 for educational programs and 202-483-8196 for social services.
