Volunteer at Mary's Center
Volunteering with Mary's Center is a great way to give back and to support a vital and often underserved population. We offer an array of opportunities that are fitting for students, working professionals, and retirees alike. Whether you are looking for a one-time event or a full-time commitment, you can help Mary's Center grow. We offer volunteer positions throughout Maryland and DC, at all of our clinic locations. Requirements vary depending on the department you are interested in working with. For more information, visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
Reading Pals: Volunteers will read and engage with children in the waiting rooms of the clinic. During the down time, they will support reception with various administrative tasks. It is a great way for volunteers to get direct interactions with our participants and to learn more about a clinical setting. Hours are very flexible.
Special Events/Projects Volunteers: Volunteers will placed into an e-mail group and be asked to volunteer at various special events throughout the year or when there is a high volunteer need for specific tasks (i.e. fundraising events, health fairs, mass mailing assistance, etc.)
Tutors for the Teen Program: As we enter October, the Teen Program is in high need of tutors/homework helpers during the after-school teen program. Hours are from 3 PM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.
