Laura joined the School Based Mental Health team at Mary’s Center as a mental health therapist in July 2019. She has worked with youth and families in schools, group homes, and residential treatment settings in New Mexico and Washington D.C. Therapeutic modalities Laura uses include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and expressive modalities.  Laura also provides therapy to Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth, and strives to make mental health services accessible to the Deaf community.  Outside of work, Laura can be found cycling around DC, making art, and enjoying time with family and friends.
