Andrea received her Master of Social Work in 2015 after working for more than 10 years in the non-profit sector in Washington, DC primarily in event planning and fundraising roles. In her current role as Perinatal Mental Health Program Manager at Mary’s Center, Andrea works with participants during the perinatal period (pregnancy and postpartum). She supports advocacy, innovation, community building and training efforts related to perinatal mental health at Mary’s Center and is passionate about improving the transition to parenthood for perinatal people and supporting families with young children. Andrea has clinical training in perinatal mental health, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy and uses a person-centered, solution-focused approach in her clinical work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and son exploring the DC region on the weekends, as well as reading, yoga and karaoke.
