Todd A. Cox
Todd A. Cox is a Program Director at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund where he directs the Civil Society Program. Todd has dedicated his career to public service. A lawyer by training, he has served in the Administration of President Barack Obama and held leadership positions in philanthropy and several social justice and civil rights organizations, including the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., the DC Public Defender Service and the Ford Foundation. He began his legal career as an honors trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Mr. Cox has testified before Congress and state legislatures, made numerous media appearances, and authored several articles. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He was elected to the Mary’s Center’s Board of Directors in March 2017 and was appointed Board Chair in April 2020.
