Lucy joined the Mary’s Center team in September 2019 and works as a mental health therapist at Tubman Elementary School. She provides individual, family, and group therapy to elementary aged clients through the School-Based Mental Health Program. Lucy is a Certified Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Instructor and Fellow in the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis’ Child & Adolescent Psychoanalysis Fellowship Program. Lucy has training on the impact of trauma on the developing brain and how body-based, sensory interventions can facilitate healing. She utilizes the following therapeutic modalities and interventions: play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and expressive modalities. Lucy’s ultimate intention is to facilitate a positive experience that builds on a child’s strengths, is inclusive of family, and addresses the child’s needs. Lucy believes that individuals of all ages are capable of growth and change.
