Montgomery County's Interdisciplinary Team Honored by the AMA and AHA

The Interdisciplinary Team of Care in Montgomery County is celebrating American Heart Month with a recogntion from the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Heart Association (AHA) through their Target: Blood Pressure Recognition Program—a program that celebrates physicians, practices, and health systems nationwide for prioritizing the treatment of hypertension. The award acknowledges practices that are “committed to reducing the number of adult patients with uncontrolled blood pressure.” At Mary's Center, we recognize the importance of hypertension treatment as it can drastically reduce the number of people who suffer more serious afflictions, such as heart attacks and strokes. We are proud to receive this recognition as it shows our commitment to preventative care.
