2018: Marys’ Center received the 2018 platinum Seal of Transparency from Guidestar

2018: Marys’ Center received the Health Center Quality Leader Award for second year in a row from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), among 1,400 health centers in the country

2018: Opened new site in Montgomery County which will replace our existing site in Silver Spring. Behavioral Services and dental services (through our Dental Cruiser) are now available. In the fall, we will offer medical and social services. Our Dental suite will be available in early 2019 

2017: Opened Mary’s Center Pharmacy at Georgia Avenue location

2017: Opened a dedicated behavioral health center at Ontario Road location.

2017: Started managing DC Office on Aging’s Hattie Holmes Senior Wellness Center at 324 Kennedy Street, NW

2017: Marys’ Center received the Health Center Quality Leader Award from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), among 1,400 health centers in the country.

2016: Opened new site at 100 Gallatin Street, NE, in partnership with Briya and Bridges Public Charter Schools

2015: Opened Home Visiting/Healthy Start site at 4302 Georgia Avenue, NW

2015: Opened Sonography Clinic at the Adams Morgan location

2014: Marys’ Center received the first certification as Patient-Centered Medial Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance

2013: Our president and CEO, Maria Gomez, received the 2012 Presidential Citizens Medal, the second highest civilian award granted by the White House.

2012: Opened first location in Prince George’s County, MD, at 8708 Riggs Road, Adelphi 

2011: Started managing DC Office on Aging’s Bernice Fonteneau Senior Wellness Center at 3531 Georgia Avenue, NW

2011: Opened brand new site in Petworth at 3912 Georgia Avenue, NW

2010: Mary’s Center earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the top distinction for being a fiscally responsible organization.

2009: First Lady Michelle Obama visited Mary’s Center (Mary’s Center was the first non-profit visited by Mrs. Obama 3 weeks after she arrived at the White House)

2008: Opened first Maryland location at 8709 Flower Avenue, Silver Spring

2005: Marys’ Center became a Federally Qualified Health Center

1995: First Lady Hillary Clinton visited Mary’s Center in commemoration of National Immunization Week.
