Progress on our Future Home At a ceremony celebrated on July 9th, DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and DC Deputy Mayor Valerie Santos accompanied us to the signing and placing of the last piece of steel on Georgia Commons, the building where our future site in Ward 4 will be. The building, located at 3912 Georgia Avenue, N.W., one block north of the Georgia Ave-Petworth Metro station, will include five floors with 130 unit mixed income apartments, in addition to Mary’s Center’s state-of-the-art new site located on the first floor. The Center will have 22 exam rooms, including 4 dental rooms. It will also provide social and mental health services, home visiting, family literacy, adolescent services and WIC program.
