Behavioral Health Services

Mary’s Center Behavioral Health (MCBH) provides high-quality behavioral health services to improve functioning, personal goal attainment and life satisfaction to clients in the District of Columbia and Maryland. We seek to reduce the stigma of behavioral health concerns, with providers who are ready to listen, normalize the concerns of our participants, and share knowledge and strategies to reduce suffering.

MCBH participants access behavioral health services by calling our main number, through DC’s Access Help-Line, or through referral from Mary’s Center Primary Care Providers and Program staff.

Our four Core Services include:

  • Diagnostic Assessments & Treatment Planning
  • Individual and Family Therapy
  • Medication evaluation and management by Board-Certified Psychiatrists
  • Community Support/Case Management

Mary’s Center Behavioral Health services include the following programs:

Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic

Our Outpatient Behavioral Health Services is a Core Service Agency for the Department of Behavioral Health, serving DC residents seeking behavioral health services, as well as existing Mary's Center medical patients seeking additional support with behavioral health conditions.

School-Based Mental Health Services

MCBH is partnered with 16 schools in DC’s Wards 1, 4 and 5 where therapists conduct diagnostic and assessment services, individual, group, and family therapy, and referrals to psychiatry and other community services. Our SBMH Therapists also support teachers, parents and school culture where possible. Learn more about the SBMH.

Integrated Behavioral Health
