Noche Musical raises funds for Teen Program
Thank you to all who supported Noche Musical, a night of classical guitar music that raised funds for the Mary's Center Teen Program. The event, which took place at the Church of the Holy City, began with two teens' testimonials about the effectiveness of the Teen Program in helping them achieve academic goals, stay healthy, and maintain healthy relationships in their community. Ernesto Tamayo entertained guests with a repertoire of original pieces ranging from reflective to energetic. Noche Musical concluded with a wine and dessert reception during which guests had an opportunity to meet Mr. Tamayo and bid on items in the silent auction.
Director of the Teen Program, Tania Hindert, was pleased with the event, stating that the money raised will allow more teens to participate in the summer program, which involves job training, mentorship, and professional development workshops.
