Nearly $500k Raised at Noche Tropical Gala

Over 500 guests gathered at the Washington Hilton on October 6, 2017 for Mary’s Center’s memorable Noche Tropical  Annual Gala, which featured inspiring speakers, lively auctions and casino games, an Hora Loca crazy dancing hour, a Scotch & Cigar Bar, and a fun photo booth.

Almost $500,000 was raised to support Mary’s Center’s life-transforming health care, education and social support programs.

During the event, Mary’s Center also honored two organizations for their commitment to the community. The Building Stronger Communities Award was presented to the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation and accepted by President and CEO Calvin Cafritz (shown above with Mary's Center CEO Maria Gomez and COO David Tatro). The Community Service Award was presented to Clark Construction, LLC, represented by Vice President Mark Padien.

Thank you to our sponsors, especially Alltran, the Presenting Sponsor, for making the event possible; to our Gala Co-Chairs, Ashley and Doug Kollme, and our Steering Committee for all their hard work; to our EmCee, Susan Hogan of NBC; and to our amazing team of volunteers and staff who ensured that everything ran smoothly.
