Staff Accountant
Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for maintaining/managing contract files, keeping up-to-date invoicing to contractors/grantor agencies, maintaining professional relations with program grant/contract monitors, and assisting Mary’s Center’s Finance Department with other duties assigned by the Controller.
Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a non-profit contract/grant management setting. BA in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience. Grants Writer
The Grant Writer is responsible for identifying and securing financial resources for Mary's Center. Primary responsibilities include researching and maintaining up to date records on topics related Mary’s Center’s work and population served, and writing and submitting grant proposals in the range of $20,000 to $750,000 -to private foundations, corporations and government agencies. Proposals are submitted for a broad range of social and educational programs and healthcare services offered at Mary’s Center. The Grant Writer is also responsible for research, helping with maintaining funder files and keeping the donor base current.
Qualifications: Requires a BA/BS and experience in development, fundraising, communications or related-field, experience writing and submitting federal government grant proposals preferred. HOME VISITING
Family Assessment Worker
The Family Assessment Worker (FAW) for Home Visitation enrolls prenatal clients and clients with children under three months old for agency and community referrals. They ensure quality care and intervention based upon assessments provided and identified need. The FAW facilitates the participant’s access to home visitation, community services or other support.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services or related field; or 3 years of relevant work experience with 2 of those years providing direct services to child/youth and families. Must possess knowledge of community resources and the ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) in English and in second language used by the target audience. The Family Support Worker provides home visiting to new parents across the city. Overall responsibilities include, weekly home visits, child development screening, implementation of parenting curriculum, and providing case management.
