For the third year in a row, Verizon awarded Mary's Center with a grant to provide social services and counseling to victims of domestic violence. Mary's Center and seven other local organizations received this grant for a total of $115,000. Government officials, Verizon representatives and the grantees gathered at a ceremony held at Mary's Center on October 30th. According to Karen Campbell, Verizon's Vice President of State Goverment Affairs, the company has donated $77 M nationwide in support of services to combat domestic violence.
