Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer will be

coming to Mary’s Center

On March 9, Mary’s Center will host the launching of the U.S. Census Bureau “Children Count Too” awareness campaign featuring Dora the Explorer.

“Children Count Too” is a campaign designed to remind parents to include babies and young children on their 2010 Census forms. According to studies, nearly two million children were not counted in the last census. Accurate census data is very important for allocation of federal funds and community planning.
Mary’s Center has been working in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau and other federal, corporate and non-profit organizations to make sure our community is ready for the 2010 Census. Helping our community to complete census forms and answering their questions and concerns is critical; thus, starting March 19, and for the following month, bilingual staff from the U.S. Census Bureau will be in our Adams Morgan location on Tuesdays (11:30am-3:00pm) and Wednesdays (9:30am-11:30am).
