Host a Holiday Drive for Mary's Center! 4 Simple Steps!

The holidays are a special time of the year, but also a time of great need for many participants at Mary’s Center. Oftentimes, Mary’s Center participants struggle to provide holiday gifts for their children or lack the resources to gather enough food for a nourishing Thanksgiving meal.

To bridge this gap, Mary’s Center needs your help.

Our goal is to provide 300 Thanksgiving meals and over 1000 new children’s toys for the holidays, but it will not be possible without champions like yourself hosting drives within your homes, schools and communities. In a addition to hosting a drive, you can also get involved through volunteering at the Thanksgiving Bag Stuffing Event and Participant Holiday Party.

Four Simple Steps to Hosting a Mary’s Center Drive:

  1. Register as a 2016 Drive Host by filling out the form below or contacting Angeline Jefferson at ajefferson@maryscenter.org or (202) 420-7049
  2. Pick-up a bin and promotional materials from Mary’s Center
  3. Gather goods and toys and promote the cause!
  4. Return Food Drive items the week of November 14 and Toy Drive items the week of December 12

The Andrew and Ryan Klinger Thanksgiving Volunteer Event: On Sunday, November 20 we are seeking volunteers to help sort and pack meals for families in need and create holiday cards to accompany toy donations. Click here to take a look at last year's event.

Participant Holiday Party: On December 22 our Adams Morgan location will transform into a Winter Wonderland, where children will participate in cookie decorating, face painting, crafts, a hot chocolate station, and of course, take a picture with Santa Claus himself! Click here to take a look at last year’s party.
