ARAMARK’s Volunteer Day at Mary’s Center

Over 100 volunteers brought colors and smiles

to our families

On August 4th, more than 100 ARAMARK employees from the region, in partnership with City Year of Washington, DC, participated in a day of service to transform Mary’s Center for Maternal and Child Care.

The enthusiastic volunteers decorated the Center’s exterior by repainting outdoor walls while brightening the interior with inspirational murals.  They planted an herb garden, did some landscaping outside, and also donated school supplies, books, and desperately needed infant items.

DC Council member Jim Graham (Ward 1) visited the Center to acknowledge the volunteers for their work and ARAMARK for its commitment to support local community centers in their efforts to provide better futures for the District’s residents.

One of the hallmarks of Mary’s Center is its warm and welcoming environment.  Today, thanks to Aramark and City Year, Mary’s Center had a new face, new colors, and happier families who from now on will have an even brighter and more welcoming place to visit.

Mary’s Center acknowledges ARAMARK for selecting Mary’s Center as its local partner in the Washington metropolitan area and for providing the Center with a new and enhanced appearance.
