January 10-16, 2010 National Influenza Vaccination Week Mary’s Center Participants Attended Vaccination Event In commemoration of the National Influenza Vaccination Week, Mary’s Center families were invited to participate at a community vaccination clinic and media event with congress members, Health and Human Services (HHS) Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention representatives in the Capitol Hill community on January 13th. Our participants, young women, mothers and children received seasonal and H1N1 vaccines and were able to learn more about the H1N1 virus from the Congressional Study Group on Public Health. They also learned about the work done by the US Health Department to fight the virus. Mary’s Center is registered as one of the H1N1 vaccination sites in the District and has administered more than 1,500 doses to its families.
