On Wednesday, November 18th, Mary’s Center had a special visit. The health secretary Kathleen Sebelius came to Mary’s Center to talk to our participants about the H1N1.
Secretary Sebelius came with Janet Murguia, President and CEO of National Council of la Raza, and top federal government officials from the Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration.
It was a town hall where participants were able to express their concerns about the H1N1 virus and ask questions regarding the virus and the vaccines.
H1N1 experts, Dr. Felipe Lobelo, Teresa Nino and Henry Lopez as well as Mary’s Center’s President and CEO Maria Gomez, responded questions in Spanish for nearly one hour.
